Grade: B. This haiku features familiar nature themes and tropes, and the poem is just a sentence I’ve fitted to the 5-7-5 syllable format in a logical way. On the other hand, it does effectively evoke the smell of spring rain and the body, and suggests morning and newness and possibility in a pleasing way.
