The irony of my like for this poem is not lost me. I enjoyed this poem as I delve into a bonafide book for a review today. I can think of no better way to get motivated.
This haiku could be even more ironic on Twitter – where it also appeared. I have to say, though, I wasn’t feeling ironic when I wrote this. I was sitting outside. It was finally a nice day. I was reading book. And that’s what I felt. I can’t say I’m much of an iPad bad / book good person. I like both. I might say online, reading can be like walking down 5th Avenue in NYC. On paper, reading is like a walk in the country by yourself. Both are walking. Both are good. But they are very different, sometimes you might feel more like one than the other, and of course some people just prefer one or the other.
