     I interpret that question like this: “No psychologically more or less normal person, not suffering from acute mental exhaustion, would make such a joke. Therefore, Pete must be suffering from acute mental exhaustion brought on by lack of holiday because otherwise ….” Nope, feel fine. Make these kind of jokes all the time. I try to save just the really good ones for the internet. “Good” being a word with a very elastic meaning in my personal vocabulary.
